What is MBTI?
MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)is a psychometric instrument that measure the psychological preferences of people in thinking, perceiving, life style and energy orientation. MBTI was developed based on the typological theory of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung and further developed by Myer-Briggs family in 1923. As there are a lot of research back up for MBTI, there are more than 2.5 millions people using this assessment every year, about eight hundred thousands of them are people from managerial level. MBTI has been widely employed by most Fortune 500 companies in the areas of talent management, leadership development, team building, career coaching and counseling. Some of the universities in United State also included MBTI as part of their Master academic programs.
